Description

The St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund is a 501(c)(3) nationwide non-profit organization that helps truck drivers in two different ways. The first is by providing financial help when over-the-road/regional semi-truck drivers experience an injury or illness that took them off the road. This financial help is in the form of direct payments for rent/mortgage, utilities, insurance, and vehicle payments on their behalf. Since helping our first driver in 2008, we have gone on to provide over $4.1 million in assistance to more than 3,500 drivers and their families.

Knowing that truck drivers are among the least healthy group of workers, that their lifestyle makes it nearly impossible for them to get to healthcare or to access healthy food options, and that the sedentary nature of their profession is likened to a death sentence, the SCF strives to bring FREE health and wellness prevention programs to them. We offer a tobacco cessation program, Rigs without Cigs, a CDC-approved diabetes prevention program, Driving Down Diabetes, a heart health/total body wellness program, Driven to be Healthy, and free flu, shingles, and pneumonia vaccines for insured drivers. In 2023 we will be adding free at-home prostate and cancer screenings. We also partner with two telemedicine groups that offer deep discounts to drivers for regular health care, urgent care, and mental health care.
